Reliable oxygen supply is one of the least visible yet most critical parts of modern healthcare. Whether in primary healthcare facilities, major hospitals, high-altitude infrastructure projects, or overseas medical programs, uninterrupted oxygen availability directly supports patient care and operational continuity.
Over the past decade, ZOY Technology has focused on building oxygen generation systems that address these challenges. Today, its solutions support more than 1,500 healthcare institutions across China, while its products have been delivered to customers in over 60 countries worldwide. A global remote monitoring platform continuously monitors the operating status of every installed oxygen generation system, enabling predictive maintenance and helping ensureliable long-term operation.

ZOY Technology entered the medical oxygen sector in 2015, transitioning from its experience in air compressor manufacturing.
According to CEO Mr. HUANG Gang, the decision was driven by a simple observation. At the time, more than one million healthcare institutions in China still relied on oxygen cylinders or liquid oxygen. Cylinder replacement required frequent logistics, while liquid oxygen involved transportation and storage risks. Many primary healthcare facilities had limited access to stable oxygen supplies.

Although air compressors and oxygen generators both process compressed air, developing a reliable medical oxygen generation system proved significantly more complex. The engineering team spent years refining designs and investing heavily in research and development. Stability, oxygen purity, operational safety, and continuous 24-hour performance all had to meet demanding standards before the product was ready for the market.

ZOY Technology’s first integrated medical oxygen generation system entered the market in 2019. While initial sales were modest, positive customer feedback validated the technology and laid the foundation for future growth.
As demand increased, another challenge emerged. Several critical components relied heavily on overseas suppliers, resulting in long lead times and limited availability. The company realized that growing orders also meant growing dependence on external supply chains.
Rather than accepting this limitation, the engineering team invested in redesigning key system components. Through valve block innovation and integrated system architecture, previously imported components were gradually replaced with domestically developed alternatives. The process required continuous design optimization, extensive testing, and long-term operational verification.
Within five years, the company had completed the localization of its core components. What had once been a supply chain constraint became a technological advantage, giving the company greater control over product development and manufacturing.
Today, ZOY Technology’s oxygen generation systems consistently achieve oxygen purity above 93%, with maximum purity reaching 99.5%, while supporting stable 24-hour continuous operation.
Its solutions are now deployed in more than 1,500 hospitals across China and have contributed to a wide range of oxygen infrastructure projects.
These include supplying approximately 80% of the oxygen engineering along the Sichuan–Tibet Railway, supporting the first centralized oxygen supply system in Aba Prefecture, and delivering oxygen systems for specialized emergency response vehicles as well as the Chinese Navy’s hospital ships Silk Road Ark and Auspicious Ark.

Beyond China, the company has expanded into international healthcare projects. In 2024, fifteen containerized oxygen generation and heat recovery systems procured through international organizations, including the World Bank, were delivered to hospitals in Zambia. Today, ZOY Technology products are used in more than 60 countries worldwide.

For Mr. Huang, producing oxygen is only part of the challenge. The goal is to solve practical operational problems faced by healthcare facilities.
One of the company’s integrated oxygen generation systems combines oxygen production with heat recovery technology, allowing waste heat generated during operation to produce domestic hot water. Together with hybrid photovoltaic and grid power integration, the system helps hospitals reduce operating costs while maintaining reliable oxygen supply.

According to the company, a county-level hospital using this integrated solution can save approximately RMB 1 million in annual operating expenses.
Noise reduction has also become an important design consideration. By maintaining operating noise at around 60 dB and optimizing equipment installation, the impact on hospital environments and patient recovery can be significantly reduced.
As healthcare needs continue to evolve, ZOY Technology has also expanded its oxygen technologies into whole-building oxygen supply systems for residential and commercial applications, extending oxygen engineering beyond traditional hospital settings.

Reflecting on the company’s development over the past decade, Mr. Huang believes innovation is not defined by a single breakthrough, but by continuous engineering improvement and the willingness to solve increasingly complex challenges.
From entering the medical oxygen industry in 2015 to developing integrated oxygen infrastructure deployed across hospitals, transportation projects, emergency response systems, and international healthcare programs, the company’s journey illustrates how sustained investment in research, product development, and engineering capability can gradually transform technical challenges into long-term competitive strengths.
