At the 94th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), held at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center in Beijing on October 21, ZOY brought its medical oxygen generation technology to life with a live demonstration at Booth A2N35.

Rather than relying solely on product displays and technical brochures, ZOY invited healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, facility managers, and industry partners to see the system in operation. The demonstration showcased not only on-site medical oxygen generation, but also waste heat recovery and hot water production—highlighting a more integrated approach to hospital energy management.
For hospitals, medical oxygen is an essential utility that must be available reliably around the clock. At the same time, rising energy costs and increasingly stringent sustainability targets are placing greater pressure on healthcare facilities to improve operational efficiency without compromising the continuity of critical services.
ZOY addresses these challenges through an integrated solution that combines medical oxygen generation, waste heat recovery, and photovoltaic power integration.

1. Waste Heat Recovery for Hot Water Production
During oxygen generation, compressors produce heat that would otherwise be largely dissipated. ZOY's waste heat recovery system captures this thermal energy and repurposes it to produce hot water for applications such as patient showers and other hospital domestic hot water needs.
With a reported heat recovery rate of up to 70%, the system helps reduce wasted energy while delivering additional value from the oxygen generation process. This integrated design enables one system to support two essential hospital utilities: medical oxygen and hot water.
2. Solar Power Integration for Lower Operating Costs
ZOY's integrated solution can also incorporate photovoltaic (PV) power, combining solar-generated electricity with grid power to help offset the electricity demand of continuous oxygen production.
By making greater use of renewable energy, hospitals can reduce grid electricity consumption, manage long-term operating expenses, and support their carbon reduction objectives.
The potential benefits are demonstrated by ZOY's project at Hunan Children's Hospital. According to project data, the combined implementation of waste heat recovery and photovoltaic integration reduced the equipment's electricity consumption by 48% and cut annual carbon dioxide emissions by 64.5 metric tons—equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of approximately 4,030 trees.
These results illustrate how an integrated medical oxygen supply solution can contribute to both operational savings and environmental performance.

Energy efficiency is only one part of the equation. Installation requirements, available space, and construction costs also play a significant role in hospital infrastructure projects.
ZOY's integrated containerized oxygen generation system features a fully enclosed, weather-resistant housing designed for outdoor installation. By reducing the need for a dedicated indoor plant room, the system can help minimize civil construction work and make better use of existing hospital space.
This configuration is particularly valuable for established hospitals and renovation projects where space is limited and modifications to existing buildings can be costly or disruptive.
At CMEF, visitors to Booth A2N35 were able to observe the equipment operating in real time, review system data, assess its operating noise, and see hot water being produced through heat recovery.
The live demonstration provided an opportunity to discuss the practical considerations that matter most to healthcare facilities: oxygen supply reliability, operating efficiency, installation requirements, and long-term operating costs.
For ZOY, the goal is not simply to supply medical oxygen generation equipment. It is to help healthcare facilities build more efficient, reliable, and sustainable oxygen supply infrastructure.
